Our Story
Barktails was born in 2023 from a simple but powerful belief: dogs deserve to feel safe, loved, and understood, even when their humans are away.
As demand grew...
After years of working in animal rescue and caring for dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and medical needs, the idea for Barktails became impossible to ignore. Too often, pet parents struggled to find care they could truly trust—especially for dogs who needed a little extra patience, attention, or specialized support.
Today, our mission is the same as it was on day one.
What started as a passion for helping rescue dogs grew into a full-service, in-home dog care experience built around compassion, reliability, and individualized attention. Every dog is treated like family, not a number.
From the beginning, Barktails has also been rooted in community—offering free care for foster pets under non-profit organizations. Today, Barktails continues to grow, but the heart behind it remains the same.
