He adores his Barktails humans just as much as his furry friends and is always ready for some quality snuggle time. Sweet, social, and full of joy—Teddy truly brings the good vibes wherever he goes. We're so lucky to have this happy little guy as part of the Barktails family. Congratulations, Teddy! 💙

Birdie absolutely loves coming to Barktails and it shows the second she arrives! Her tail goes into overdrive as she races to get through the door, eager to see all her friends and jump right into the fun. She's truly the life of the party, bringing joy and energy wherever she goes. While Birdie definitely has a few favorite pals she can't wait to see, she also has a special talent for being the ultimate welcome committee. New pups are instantly greeted with her happy wags and friendly spirit, making everyone feel right at home. We're so lucky to have such a social, loving, and enthusiastic girl as our Pup of the Month. Birdie, Barktails just wouldn't be the same without you! 💙

If you've been at Barktails anytime since late 2025, you definitely know this face… and that tongue. Linkin, our 5-year-old pug superstar, and his brothers have been part of the Barktails family for quite some time now and let's just say, this guy is a WHOLE personality. Linkin is 100% pug energy wrapped in a snorty, snuggly body. He demands attention from every single staff member like it's written into his contract. If we are standing, he's pawing at us. If we are sitting, he's climbing into our laps. If we are working, he's making sure we're not. When he's not "beating up" the staff for more pets and affection, he's fully committed to cuddle mode or snoring louder than a grown man after Thanksgiving dinner. We're not exaggerating. The snore is impressive. And can we talk about his tongue?! It sticks out in nearly every photo and every moment like it has a personality of its own. Honestly, who could have a bad day with that face (and that tongue) around? Linkin keeps us laughing, keeps us loved on, and keeps Barktails full of pug-level chaos in the best possible way. We truly can't get enough of this silly, snuggly character. We love you, Linkin! 💛

If there were a contest for confidence, curiosity, and pure comedic talent, Joy would take home the trophy every time. This French Bulldog/Chihuahua mix has been part of the Barktails family since the day she was adopted and she has been running the show ever since (literally and figuratively). Joy fears absolutely nothing. Baby gates? Please. She scales them like an Olympic athlete just to make sure she doesn't miss a single arrival or exit. She's the official Barktails greeter, always welcoming friends with a wagging tail, a smile like she owns the place. You will often find Joy living her best life: floating poolside, zooming around the yard, playing with toys, or engaging in friendly WWE-style matches with her pals. Whether it is a game of chase or a playful wrestling session, she is always ready to bring the fun. And when is it time to relax? Joy transforms into the ultimate cuddle bug utterly oblivious to personal space. Bed hog? Absolutely. Regrets? None. Bold, hilarious, loving, and completely unforgettable, Joy is the heart and soul of Barktails. We honestly couldn't imagine life here without her. 💛

If you have ever wondered what pure joy looks like in dog form, let us introduce you to Millie. Millie is a one-year-old Bernadoodle who comes to Barktails ready to paw-ty the moment she walks through the door. From the second she arrives, her energy is contagious and her excitement sets the tone for the entire day. She is playful, goofy, and completely unforgettable. Millie is known around here as the life of the party, and she definitely does not party alone. She loves playing with all the dogs, and her brothers Moose and Fudge are right there with her joining in on the fun. Together, they bring the energy, the chaos, and the best kind of entertainment. When it's time to nap or go to bed she truly is the best cuddle buddy! Of course, with all that personality, she has earned herself a very fitting nickname. Around here, we lovingly call her Silly Millie, and once you meet her, you will understand exactly why. Millie and her brothers remind us every day what it means to live in the moment, have fun, and bring a little extra joy wherever you go. We are so lucky to have them all as part of the Barktails crew.

This month we are celebrating one very special pup…Cody! When Cody first joined the Barktails family, you may never have guessed this shy, reserved Border Collie would become one of our biggest social butterflies. At first, Cody preferred to quietly observe the world around him, taking everything in at his own pace and sticking close to the people he trusted. Every dog deserves to be understood for who they are -- with patience, guidance, and the chance to build confidence in their own way. Once Cody realized he was safe, surrounded by people and dogs who respected his boundaries, his personality absolutely blossomed. The quiet, cautious pup slowly transformed into a complete party animal! Cody discovered that he absolutely LOVES playing with the higher-energy dogs in our group. They helped bring out his goofy, playful side and encouraged him to let loose and have fun. Before long, Cody became one of the main sources of entertainment during playgroups -- zooming around, initiating games, and making both dogs and humans laugh daily. Watching his transformation has been incredibly rewarding. Cody reminds us that confidence can grow with time, patience, and the right environment. Some dogs simply need people willing to meet them where they are -- instead of expecting them to instantly fit into a mold. We cannot wait for many more adventures with this amazing boy!

This month's honor goes to none other than the one, the only – Tipsy. Tipsy is proof that rescue dogs come in all shapes, sizes, and personalities. She may not be the dog featured on the cover of a magazine, but around Barktails she's an absolute superstar and one of our favorite little weirdos. She is unapologetically herself -- goofy, dramatic, mischievous, affectionate, and completely unforgettable. Tipsy keeps us laughing every single day with her endless antics. If you make the mistake of walking out the front door without her, be prepared -- she can scream louder than a human and will make sure the entire neighborhood knows about her disappointment. When it's time for bed, Tipsy somehow manages to locate the most uncomfortable sleeping spot imaginable. Dog bed? No thanks. Cozy blanket? Hard pass. Human pillow? Getting warmer. Human head? Perfect. She loves playing with all of her canine friends, snuggling with her favorite humans, and engaging in daily WrestleMania matches with her sister, Sugar. The two of them have turned roughhousing into an Olympic sport. What we love most about Tipsy is that she is unapologetically herself. She's goofy, dramatic, mischievous, affectionate, and completely unforgettable. The world needs more dogs like Tipsy, and we're lucky she chooses to spend her days making us laugh. This month's spotlight shines on the sweetest girl, Maple! Like many dogs, Maple's Barktails journey started with a daycare visit before her extended stay. Her paw-ents wanted to make sure she would feel comfortable, safe, and happy while they were away on vacation, so we gave her the opportunity to get familiar with her new surroundings. When Maple first arrived, she was understandably a little unsure of everything around her. New sights, new smells, and a whole pack of unfamiliar furry faces can be a lot to take in! But true to her resilient nature, it only took about 10 minutes before she found her confidence. Soon enough, she was happily making new friends and joining in on one of the Barktails pups' favorite activities—a spirited game of chase around the yard! Fast forward to her extended vacation with us, and Maple has completely blossomed. She has settled into the Barktails family as if she's always belonged here. Every day brings new adventures, new canine friends arriving and departing, and plenty of opportunities for play, snuggles, and fun. Maple takes it all in stride, greeting each day with excitement and making the most of every moment. Watching a dog transform from a little hesitant to completely confident is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. Maple is a wonderful reminder that sometimes all a dog needs is a little patience, a welcoming environment, and a few new friends to help them feel right at home.
