GETTING STARTED

  • Getting started is easy! We require a Meet & Greet before your first booking so we can get to know you and your dog, review care details, and make sure it's the perfect fit for everyone.

EXPERIENCE

  • Barktails sets itself apart with a strong foundation in personalized care for every pet, and experienced support for those with special or medical needs.

  • Yes, I am trained in pet first aid and CPR.

  • Barktails is built on a strong background in animal rescue with over a decade of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments including those with special or medical needs.

CARE & ROUTINE

  • Each day is tailored to your dog's routine and personality. We focus on a balance of playtime, rest, potty breaks, and lots of attention so your dog feels comfortable and at home.

  • Yes. Dogs in our care are expected to be able to safely coexist in a structured group environment. We carefully manage group dynamics, supervise interactions, and ensure all dogs are set up for success.

  • Yes, dogs are always in a safe, monitored environment.

  • Please provide your dog’s regular food, along with any supplements and medications they are currently taking.

COMMUNICATION

  • Absolutely. We provide regular updates, including photos, so you can feel confident and connected while your pet is in our care.

SPECIAL NEEDS

  • Absolutely! I'm experienced in administering insulin, subcutaneous fluids, and various medications, as well as managing pets with seizure disorders.

  • Yes! We're experienced in caring for senior dogs, anxious pets, and those requiring medication or extra attention. Just let us know your dog's needs during the Meet & Greet.

POLICIES

  • We understand plans can change. There is no fee for cancelling or changing a reservation.

  • We assess each dog to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone.

SAFETY & EMERGENCIES

  • Your dog's safety is our top priority. In the event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if needed.

  • We require all vaccinations to be up to date.
