First Time at Barktails?
Welcome to the pack!
We're so excited to meet you and your pup! At Barktails, every dog deserves personalized care in a safe, loving, home-style environment. Here's how to get started before your first daycare stay, overnight visit, or walk.
Every new dog is required to complete a Meet & Greet before joining us. To schedule yours, select Meet & Greet from the Services menu in the navigation above.
During this visit we'll:
- Get to know you and your dog
- Answer all your questions
- Ensure Barktails is the right fit
- Review your dog's temperament and comfort level
- Explain how reservations, drop-offs, and pick-ups work
After we hear from you, Barktails will give you a call to talk through your needs and your dog(s). If we're a good fit, we'll schedule your Meet & Greet and set up your secure client profile in our system ahead of that visit — you'll receive an email invitation to your Client Portal. Since your account won't have a password set yet, you'll need to reset it yourself using the email or mobile number we have on file so you can log in and see your appointment.
- Open your Barktails invitation email
- Go to the Client Portal login page
- Enter the email or mobile phone number we have on file for you
- Click "First time logging in? Reset your password."
- Check your email and follow the link to create your password
- Log in to see your Meet & Greet appointment details
Before your first reservation, please provide current records for the following vaccinations. You can upload these directly through your Client Portal after activating your account.
Your Client Portal will include our Barktails Service Agreement. Please review and electronically sign the agreement before your first reservation.
Once your account is activated and your paperwork is complete, Barktails will schedule your first visit for you. This lets us confirm your Meet & Greet is on file and ensure everything is ready for a safe, successful stay.

Before creating another account, please try the following:
- ✓ Check your email for your Barktails invitation.
- ✓ Enter your email or mobile number on the login page, then click "First time logging in? Reset your password." — you won't have a password until you set one this way.
- ✓ Use the Forgot Password link if you've already activated your account.
- ✓ Contact Barktails if you're still having trouble — we're happy to help you regain access to your existing account.
